Abstract

|
The purpose of this study is to examine the degree of the attitudes toward working with older adults and the behavior toward elderly among caregivers. The data was collected from 203 caregivers in G. City and Junnam area. The results of this study was analyzes as follows: First, participants` behavior toward elderly is slightly positive. Second, the most influential factors of the behavior was the attitudes toward working with older adults, and career. Third, further investigation was conducted by separating the items into two categories: attitudes toward work and career self-efficacy. Only the attitudes toward work was influential factors of the behavior. Based on the findings the implications for social welfare policy and the need for a social education program on the positive attitudes toward working the older adults of caregivers was discussed.
